Therefore, I have decided to run for the office of Mayor of Carolina Beach. I believe that the voters of Carolina Beach deserve to have a mayoral candidate who has had a proven track record for solving the problems and relieving burdens caused by the current Town Council.
I am running on my record as your mayor for three consecutive terms (1997 to 2003). During that time, Carolina Beach was confronted by a very serious financial problem, which caused the State of North Carolina to consider stepping in and taking control of the town. Well, with the help of the Town Council, I was able to reverse the Town's poor financial condition, resulting in a very strong and prosperous community.
I would appreciate your vote this coming November 8th to be the next Mayor of Carolina Beach.

For quite some time now, I have felt that poor town management and ineffective leadership as demonstrated by the current Mayor and Town Council, has created numerous problems and burdens for the residents of Carolina Beach.
Furthermore, I do not believe that either of the other two candidates for mayor, Dan Wilcox or Pat Efird, has the ability to solve these problems. Both of these candidates are currently serving on the Town Council, and I believe that if either one is elected to the office of Mayor in November, then the current problems and burdens will continue for the next 2 years.
